Camp NaNoWriMo 2015: Day 9

11:46pm So I managed to crawl out of bed at 10am today (went to bed about 1:30am). I checked some stuff online, had a small breakfast, did my workout, and took a shower. Then I had a light lunch and got around to procrastinating online, mainly decluttering email and deleting a whole bunch of stuff I don't need anymore. I don't know what it is about doing that kind of thing that really helps me relieve stress :)

Even though I told myself I'd start writing at 12:30pm. No 1pm. Finally starting writing at 1:58pm, determined to reach my daily goal of 2162 words by 4pm. I sat on the porch and wrote there for about an hour.

I had about 900ish words to go to reach my goal for today when my friend, Kendra, hit me up and we worked on our WIPs for another hour together. We always seem to be doubly productive when we work at the same time so I cranked out 1640 words in about 90 minutes.

Not that impressive, but I finally broke 5,000 words in Unforgettable Love. And it wasn't even 5pm, so I was real happy about that, having several hours still to get other things done. I walked away determined to do one more session that night. Gravy :)

I worked on more wedding stuff and played basketball for a good part of the evening. Finally got home past ten o'clock. Took another shower, put the toddler to bed, and started catching up on my Pocket reading (got over 1300 articles to catch up on over there! It's the one thing I'm not inbox zero on).

Then I started one more session at 11:35 and wrote for 6 minutes before I started feeling sleepy and tired. I didn't want to overdo it, plus I still had this entry to write and some reading to do (didn't do much throughout the day).

All in all, not a bad day at all! I wrote over 3,000 words and am 11% done with the 50k words. I've written over 5400 words for the manuscript, and while there's lots of typical doubts, I'm chugging along nicely. I've brought my daily goal down to 2025 words (from 2162).

I also know that I'm technically about 10,000 words behind for Camp NaNoWriMo, but you know what? I don't really care. I can still win this thing. All I have to do is write 2k a day. VERY doable! I'm not worried.

The only thing I didn't do that was on my to do list was one day job task I need to get done, but hopefully I can do at least half of that tomorrow. I'm gonna try to get up a bit earlier and get a better head start on my day so I can relax in the evening :)
